Trend Spotlight: Saturated shades from the deep

Trend Spotlight on The Unexpected Chic

Today (and for the last while in general) I’m loving deep, overdyed, bottom-of-the-sea shades like indigo, inky navy blue and deep plum purple. I’ve been on a quest to find indigo shoes for like probably 2 years now. I’ve been seeing these colours trending in interiors and in fresh ways like a random door painted with an unexpected shade or even whole walls, trim and all, done in a beautiful rich hue. Love it!

Here are some of my fave ideas…

I would have never thought I would LOVE the wall and floor painted the same colour this much!

I love the mixture of translucency with matte and soft textures to create an engaging and visually diverse landscape.

Framed handkerchiefs and an ombre rug are perfect in this super blue scheme!

More colour-fade and dip-dye effects here which are totally reminiscent of sun-bleached t-shirts and salt-stained beaches. I just love the mystery and the feeling of depth that these colours give!

Hope you’ve found your dose of inspiration for the day ;)
