Decor Voyeur: An inspiring peek inside Sarah Seven’s San Francisco dress shop

Decor Voyeur - have a peek inside amazing homes at The Unexpected ChicJust a quick titbit of inspiration today! The topic? Nouveau boutique design.

I’m loving The Glitter Guide lately – I signed up to their daily newsletter and am really enjoying their down-to-earth, business-savvy, modern woman-style posts! I found an article about Sarah Seven‘s new bridal and dress shop in San Francisco, and thought some of her interior decor ideas were super fun and glamorous.

As Sarah says in the article, the black walls really make the dresses POP. Black walls for a bridal shop may seem counter-intuitive and kind of depressing for what should be a frilly, happy place, but I think she is totally right with her unorthodox choice! It creates the perfect neutral backdrop for her gorgeous girly designs and bring a chic modern look to the store.

And the piece de resistance – the staircase! It’s a DIY job with a little bit of tough glue and some mirror tiles. What’s not to love! I think it’s super-glam and, quoting Sarah again, adds ‘just the right amount of sparkle’. I also like how the reflections become kind of a funky pixellated piece of art!
