Case Study: Moodboard for a modern yet warm open plan living space

the Case Study series at The Unexpected ChicI wanted to share with you a pretty moodboard which I put together recently for a roomFIX client.

The open plan space has some great pieces but some are worn and need to be updated, and the dining table is too small. The young family would like to make the space equally great for relaxing with the kids or entertaining a group of friends over wine and canapes.

The house has some traditional features such as crown moulding, wood floors and fireplace, but the couple’s taste runs to the modern side, so I complimented both styles by putting together a ‘warm modern’ feel. It incorporates a classic turned-leg table and chic artsy pendants with a splash of fun in the patterned carpet and modern sofa accessories.

If you want a similar package put together for your space, I can definitely help you out! Whether you are trying to pull together a few old and loved pieces into a new look, or want to create something completely new, I would love to have a chat. Check out more here or get in touch!
