Take a walk through this whimsical, quirky, colourful, sometimes overbearing but very inspired home in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles. I love the outdoor space and the artwork!

Molly Leutkemeyer founded her Los Angeles design practice, M.Design, in 2001. She has an expressive, lively, fresh style all her own. She takes a unique approach to each project, combining her personal inspiration with a thorough understanding of each client’s needs. Her creative style has earned her a place on House Beautiful’s list of Top 100 Designers in America four years running. Molly’s client roster includes Hollywood A-listers (Julie Bowen, Sam Trammell, and Lauren Graham), entertainment industry insiders, and stylish people from all walks of life who are looking for an injection of color and creativity in their space. Recent projects include a family friendly Franklin Canyon residence, a modern Venice Beach bungalow, a 1920s Hancock Park gem, and a glamorous 1960s home in Bel Air. M. Design has expanded outside of the L.A. metropolitan area with projects in New York City and Chicago.

What do you think? Artsy and fun or mad and over-the top? Which parts would you pick for your home? Personally I would probably take some and leave some, perhaps the jungle mural could stay in the kids’ bedroom rather than the dining room. But still, very fun and definitely conversation-worthy!
