Special Guest Week: Print Tuft & Fold Turn Science into Homewares

Special guest design professionals sharing their know-how on The Unexpected Chic

As some of you may have noticed, I’m a big fan of bold colour and graphic pattern, and this collection from Print Tuft & Fold that was exhibited at this year’s 100% Design event really caught my eye. Inspired by archival images sourced from the London Science Museum’s vaults, the creative trio has combined scientific research with its own ambitious colour palettes to create a series of vibrant pieces for the home.

My favourite piece was a rug with a progressive pattern – although not ideal for a small or already busy interior, I can imagine it would be perfect in a light and airy hallway as a welcoming burst of colour.

Rumour has it that John Lewis might pick up the designs as they already have an affiliation with the Science Museum but until then, the Print Tuft & Fold girls can be contacted through the website listed above.
