Outfit to Fitout: from fetish fashion to luxe interiors

Outfit to Fitout - interiors inspired by fashion on The Unexpected Chic

Well here we are at the beginning of another work week, after yet another weekend that went by in about 4 seconds flat. It can be a bit depressing, but you’re in for a treat that will put a smile on that Monday face! Outfit to Fitout is the series where fashion and interiors mingle to create some real multi-sensory magic.

Thanks to Emerald Street (my mid-morning treat!) I’m loving Azzedine Alaia today. The fetish trend is going to be big this autumn, with ultra-feminine feline shapes and silky luxe fabrics, textures and finishes, augmented with a painfully chic touch of studs and metal. These gorgeous pieces from Azzedine Alaia’s fall 2011 collection definitely maximize on these themes with intricate detailing, sculptural silhouettes, and hedonistic materials.

My favourite is definitely the black and gold filigree collared cocktail dress. What would you wear from this collection? Does it inspire you to create similarly dark-deluxe interiors?

  1. Do you like the fetish-luxe look? Would you wear it, or use it for inspiration for your interiors?
